"Batida"

It is not only Baileys which you might miss when you are vegan, it might also be Batida de Coco as another alcoholic drink which is a very nice ingredient in some cocktails. Luckily also that one is quite easy to prepare yourself:

Mix
400 ml coconut milk
with
4 cl white rum
in a bottle.

Yep, that's it! Could prolly not be easier and is certainly a lot less expensive than the real one.

Batida, in Brazil referes to a series of juice drinks made with vodka or cachaça and condensed milk. Mostly any fruit is used and is usually a "light" drink. As for coconut milk mixed, you might use Malibu, which is already a coconut alcoholic beverage ;)

Also batida in portuguese stands for crash [as in car crash] or mixed [past for to mix xD]

I know what 'batida' means in Brazil... I was more referring to the alcoholic drink 'Batida de Coco' which we might call just "Batida" in short over here. The portuguese word definitely fits in here lol

Malibu is definitely a nice substitute for Batida de Coco, but it does not give you the desired creaminess you might want to achieve in some drinks, which you get in contrary with some coconut mik as an ingredient ;-)
